Something not working?

Fernlet is made by one person. There is no support queue and no ticket number — email goes straight to me, and I read all of it.

Useful things to include: your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. Screenshots help. Please don't send health data, journal text, or anything from your sealed store — I don't need it, and I'd rather not have it.

Common questions

  • I lost my phone. If you turned on iCloud sync, your core data restores from your own iCloud when you reinstall. The sealed categories — cycle data, journal text, sensitive memories, intimate logs, your own photos — are keyed to the old phone's Secure Enclave, so a device backup cannot bring them back. The optional encrypted sealed backup is the only route, and its key lives in your iCloud Keychain; if you've lost access to that Keychain on every device, that data is unrecoverable.
  • Friend adding isn't working. Both phones need Bluetooth and local network access allowed, and need to be held about 15 cm apart for roughly a second. On phones without precise ranging you confirm on screen instead.
  • I want my data out. Settings → Privacy & Data → Export. The export deliberately excludes the sealed categories so a file you share can't carry them.
  • I want it all gone. Same screen: delete your iCloud copy, delete your local data, or just delete the app. Nothing of yours sits on a server I run, because there isn't one.

The FAQ on the home page covers the rest, and the privacy policy is the long version of where everything lives.

Reporting a privacy problem

If you find a hole in the privacy claims — traffic that isn't in the published egress inventory, a cross-wall data path, anything that contradicts the policy — that is the most valuable thing you can send me. Email the same address with "privacy" in the subject and I'll prioritise it over everything else.
